At
Goose Rocks Designs we develop and handcraft glass wind
chimes that bring sound and color to life – perfect
for the home or garden. In our Maine studio, we frost
and polish the frames and glass which creates a unique luster
that complements our fresh contemporary designs. Our chimes
may be hung outdoors - the glass in our chimes is durable
under normal weather conditions. Each chime is a reflection
of our unique handcraft process and we hope it provides
you with years of enjoyment
From
her studio in Montana, Barb DeVeer handcrafts her fused
glass jewelry. To make her earrings, she hand cuts,
assembles, and fuses a variety of colors and types of sheet
glass. Heated in a kiln, the pieces fuse together,
blending colors and shapes. Her designs are inspired
by the Chinese art of Feng Shui, an interest which complements
her former work as a registered nurse. The colors
and symbols of her designs are intended to enhance one of
Feng Shui's eight areas of life.
For

Since
1984, Down Island has worked with small families of craftspeople
in Indonesia. Each family member may bring a special skill
in the process of completing the finished piece. Unique
picture frames and sketchbooks are made using natural leaves,
seedpods, tree bark as well as other sustainable plant by-products.
This covers of this sketchbook, made from slices of bamboo
inset in resin, bind together handmade paper.
