Anthony Ciambella

Some artists are able to express themselves beyond their creations by lectures or articles.  I'm not one of them.  My motives change too often.  I share only the finished image.

I believe that symbols tend to gather meanings slowly over time.  These meanings grow along many lines — dividing, modifying and doubling back on themselves.  They are rationalized, cleaned up, interpreted literally, or abandoned altogether.  Symbols can gain or lose mystery.

Nowadays, it seems the obvious takes precedence over the hidden in most aspects of everyday life.  I depend on the profound realities that are byond the reach of everyday living.  These latent realities seduce my creativity consciously and unconsciously.  The action fluctuates according to my essential Anthonyness.  I'm beckoned by everything.

My work represents experiences I can't hope to explain.
