Shooting stars fascinate
me. Deep wells, rituals and the void that appears
in the midst of crowds I experienced growing up often intrigues
me... The journey is subliminal and surreal manifestations
of memories morphing into myth, body and the system.
I am not interested in story telling or the
perception of it. Stories are imbedded in the materials,
experiences, processes and images. I am interested
in osmosis of an idea through body, memories, myths and
metaphors. I am curious about the contemporary news
and incidents; realizing my limits, I let them permeate,
empathizing with a glimmer of hope. I am interested
in memories, incidents, myths and metaphors seeping through
consciousness via senses to the stage where it can be shared.
I am interested in transforming the idea and
letting them resuscitate into transient existence.
My works are about the notion of body, the body within a
system within the system. My works are about the notion
of the body, in the absence or presence of it.
My work is a grain of sand in the oyster-shell
of the mind.
